Ho Hum

Things have been pretty quiet here which is a change…lol. Not much going on. Dana, Joshua and Kaylee were out last weekend but we didn’t get to see them much. They were gone most of Saturday doing shopping for birthday’s. Joshua’s mom and sister have a birthday this week so that side of the family had a brunch for the two of them on Sunday that Dana and Joshua went to. Then when they got back from that, we had cake and ice cream for Trever who’s birthday was Monday. He turned twenty-eight….sheesh….where does the time go???
Kaylee got her ears pierced and she looks adorable. Now no one will mistake her for a boy…lol. When she went treat or treating for Halloween this year, there were a couple of people who thought she was a boy! I don’t see how they could of got that wrong but they did. Now, there’s no excuse…lol.
My computer is on the fritz and I just hope that it’ll hang in there until this weekend when Tom can take a look at it. The screen has periodical fits where you can only see the top half of the screen and everything below is blurry and a mess. At first we thought it might be the monitor but Tom checked that and it’s okay so he says that it’s probably the video card.
Hope that’s all it is and it’ll be a simple fix.
We got some bad news yesterday. Last week I took my dad in for tests and he wanted me to call the doctor’s office for him and see if the results were back yet. When I called I didn’t think that they would be in yet, but they were. When the nurse recognized my dad’s name right away and asked if I wanted to make an appointment to see the doctor, I figured something wasn’t good. She put me on hold and when she came back, she said that she had the doctor on the line and he wanted to talk to me. Both my parents are in their 80’s and I know their doctor from going in with them at doctor’s appointments and calling his office with any questions they have about different things. Anyways, he told me that they found a tumor on my dad’s bladder. The urologist is suppose to call sometime this week to scheldule an appointment and they’ll do the scope and then go from there. My dad had skin cancer (all those years of being a carpenter and working outside in the sun with no sunscreen) and hadn’t had any problems for about 20 years until a few months ago when he had to have a “spot” removed from the top of head. They went all the way down to his skull to remove the tumor but he was awake and did really good through the whole thing. The doctor then said that they got all of it and my dad recovered with no problems. Now this…I just hope that it isn’t cancer…so if you could please keep him in your thought and prayers, I would really appreciate it.
Well, I guess that’s all for now. I think I’ll go see what I can make for dinner. I hope you’re having a great week so far. Take care! (((Hugs)))
